The Albertus Magnus men's lacrosse team fell to Emmanuel College 14-4 on Wednesday night in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) play in Boston.

The Saints scored 10 unanswered goals to open the second half of play to improve to 3-3 on the year and 1-0 in the GNAC. The Falcons are now 0-2 overall and open 2014 GNAC play with the loss.

Emmanuel led 2-0 after the first quarter and took a 3-0 lead shortly into the second.  Brennan Moore (Meriden, Conn.) tallied his second goal of the season to put the Falcons on the board as he tallied a shot at the 8:56 mark of the frame on a Justin Bennet (Fairfield, Conn.) assist.

After the Saints took a 4-1 advantage, Moore assisted on Michael Choiniere (Bethany, Conn.) goal, his second of the season as well, to cut the Saint's advantage to two at 4-2.  The teams went into the intermission with that score.

Emmanuel outscored the Falcons 8-0 in the third quarter to take control of the contest.  Chris Curtis tallied a hat trick in the frame as the Saints took a 12-2 lead.  The Saints scored two more goals to take a 14-2 lead before Moore finished out the contest with back-to-back man-up goals for the Falcons.

Moore finished the contest with three goals and one assist to lead Albertus.

The Saints outshot the Falcons 63-11 on the night, including a 23-0 clip in the third and a 21-2 clip in the first.

Emmanuel junior Austin Lauzier made three saves for the win, while Justin Byers tallied two stops.  Brandon Scicchitano (Norwalk, Conn.) made 12 stops in 57 minutes of the work for the Falcons before Tucker Johns (Montville, Conn.) took over in net.

Albertus will host its first-ever men's lacrosse game at Celentano Field on Thursday afternoon.  The non-conference contest against Lyndon State is scheduled to begin at 3:00 p.m.
