Men's Lacrosse Announces 2020 Team Captains

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Albertus Magnus College men's lacrosse head coach Darryl Delia named Christopher Magnifico (Glastonbury, Conn.), Mykel Stinson (Bridgeport, Conn.) and Andrew Luzzi (East Haven, Conn.) as the team captains for the upcoming 2020 season.

"We are thrilled to have these three young men leading our program," Coach Delia said. "This year's captains have worked hard on and off the field and have shown great leadership qualities."

Magnifico, a senior, and Stinson, a junior, return as team captains after leading the Falcons last season. This will be Luzzi's first year as captain as a sophomore.

Magnifico is coming off a 2019 season where he started 13 games. He paced the team last year with 10 assists and was second with 23 points and 13 goals.

Stinson is coming off a breakout 2019 season, when he scored 11 goals and added four assists. He also added 73 ground balls and 12 caused turnovers to round out his end-of-year stats.

Luzzi was a key player for Albertus at the faceoff position and defensive midfield where he started all 14 games in 2019. Luzzi had one goal and two assists and accounted for 53 ground balls filling in at the faceoff X.
