NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Albertus Magnus College men's lacrosse head coach Darryl Delia announced Mykel Stinson (Bridgeport, Conn.), Andrew Luzzi (East Haven, Conn.), Derek Ralston (Guilford, Conn.), and Dane Walsh (Bethany, Conn.) as his team captains for the 2021 season.

"We are very pleased with the selection of this year's captains," said coach Delia. "All of them are leaders on the field as well as outstanding students in the classroom. These men exemplify what being an Albertus Magnus student-athlete is and they always lead by example."

Stinson, a senior midfielder from Bridgeport, Conn., earns his third consecutive season with a captain distinction. The four-year starter has tallied 24 career points on 17 goals and seven assists to go along with 123 ground balls and 29 caused turnovers. In the Falcons' most recent game, Stinson set a new career-high with three points on a goal and two assists against Johnson & Wales (R.I.).

A junior midfielder, Luzzi also returns as a captain in 2021. The local product from East Haven, Conn., has tallied three points on one goal and two assists over his career, in addition to 60 ground balls and seven caused turnovers. Luzzi has stood as one of the Falcons' key faceoff players, winning 104 times at the X over his career.

In his third season as a starting defender, Ralston makes his first appearance as a captain for Albertus. The Guilford, Conn., native has nine career points on three goals and six assists. He has also recorded 46 faceoff wins, 32 ground balls, and 10 caused turnovers.

Our final captain is Walsh, a junior goalie from Bethany, Conn. Walsh has played 468:22 minutes over the past three seasons, tallying 120 saves and a 55.3 save percentage. He has also recorded one career win to four losses with a 12.43 save percentage. Walsh has shined so far as a junior, tying a career-high with 18 saves in both games of the 2021 campaign.
