WINTHROP, Mass. - For the second time this season, freshman Matthew Hutchings (Mt. Kisco, N.Y.) of the Albertus Magnus College men's lacrosse team was tabbed the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Rookie of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday morning.
Hutchings finished the week as the Falcons' second-leading scorer, pouring in 16 points on 11 goals and five assists. He started the week with a six-goal, four-assist performance in AMC's 26-1 win versus Mitchell College. He then followed up by scoring five goals, an assist, and six ground balls in Albertus' 13-10 road triumph over Anna Maria on Saturday.
The men's lacrosse team resumes non-conference play on Wednesday, March 22, with a home tilt against SUNY Purchase. The face-off between the Falcons and Panthers is set for 7 PM at Celentano Field.
