NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Jon Olson (Bellmore, N.Y.) from the Albertus Magnus College men's lacrosse team was named to the 2023 Academic All-District® Men's At-Large Teams on Tuesday afternoon, selected by College Sports Communicators, formerly CoSIDA.
2022-23 Academic All-District Men's At-Large Teams
The 2023 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's At-Large Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the athletic realm and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced June 21 (men) and June 22 (women).
Olson played in 13 games for the Falcons as a senior, helping the team to a record-breaking season of a program-high eight wins. He tallied 81 points to break the record for most points recorded in a single season, while also setting a new record for points recorded in a single game with 18 against Mitchell. Olson recorded eight multi-goal games, scoring at least three goals in six games to finish with 42 goals on the season to become third on the list of the all-time individual season scoring leaders for the Albertus Magnus College men's lacrosse team. Olson also tallied 39 assists on the season to become the all-time individual season leader. Olson posted a 3.95 cumulative grade-point average and majored in criminal justice.
