Men's Lacrosse Looks To Build On Last Season As Season Begins Saturday

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Albertus Magnus College men's lacrosse team will begin its 2024 campaign on Saturday as it travels to Centenary for a 1 p.m. match.

It is the first of 15 games for the Falcons this season as they will play nine road games and six home games.

Last season, the Falcons finished the season 8-8 and 2-8 in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC). It was the most wins in program history.

The Falcons beat Centenary, 25-4 last season for its second win of the season.

After a second road game against Keystone on February 28, the Falcons will play their home opener against St. Joseph's (L.I.) at Celentano Field at 1 p.m. on March 2.

The Falcons will take on Mount Saint Vincent on March 6 before beginning its GNAC schedule at Dean on March 13 before hosting Rivier and Norwich on March 16th and 23rd, respectively.

Albertus will play its final non-conference game of the season at FDU-Florham for a 4 p.m. start. It will be the start of a three-game road trip as the Falcons get back into GNAC play with games at Elms on March 30 and up interstate 95 at Mitchell. The Falcons had their most dominant win of the season against Mitchell, winning 25-1 in 2023.

Lasell and Anna Maria will come to Celentano on back-to-back Saturdays (April 6 and 13) before Albertus wraps up its road schedule with games at three-time defending champion Johnson and Wales on April 17 and at Regis on April 20. Last season, Albertus rallied from down 9-5 and scored the final five goals of the game to beat Regis, 10-9 last season.

Albertus will wrap up its regular season hosting University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) under the lights at Celentano at 7 p.m. on April 24.
