Fourth Period Rally Falls Short In Men's Lacrosse Loss To Mount Saint Vincent

RIVERDALE, N.Y. - A fourth period rally fell short as the Albertus Magnus College men's lacrosse team lost a 12-8 game to Mount Saint Vincent on Wednesday evening in a non-conference game.

Kader Price (Walden, N.Y.) had a hat trick for the Falcons while Jeremy Tremblay (Orford, Quebec) scored twice to pace the Falcons.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • The two teams split the first goals of the first of the game as Cooper Strecker (Chester, Conn.) and Shane Kelly (Madison, Conn.) each scored a goal. With Albertus down, 1-0, Strecker spun off a defender, and took a shot past Mount Saint Vincent goaltender, Mark Lulgjuraj to tie the game. With 1:55 left in the first and the Falcons down 2-1 in a man-up situation, Kelly took a pass from Strecker and took a submarine-style shot past Lulgjuraj to tie the game, 2-2.
  • The Dolphins took control in the second period, taking a 9-3 lead into halftime after Savion Williams scored three times and Isaac Parsons, twice. Tremblay scored his first of the game at the 4:39 mark of the second to make it a 7-3 game at the time.
  • Parsons scored his third of the game for the Dolphins just over five minutes into the third before Price scored his first of the game with 5:57 left on a pass from DaKari Coleman (Norwalk, Conn.) for the second man-up goal for the Falcons of the game. Just 62 seconds later, Williams scored his fourth of the game for MSV to put it up 11-4 heading to the fourth.
  • The Falcons made a valiant effort in the fourth outscoring the Dolphins, 4-1. Price had two goals in the period and the Falcons finished the game on a 3-0 run as Coleman scored and Tremblay added his second of the game off of an assist from Price.
