HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Mount St. Vincent netted four straight, with two by Isaac Parsons, before Sean Keenan (Franklin Square, N.Y.) halted the visitors' scoring stretch with an unassisted tally at 8:34 in the opening quarter. Alex Morales (Wallingford, Conn.) sent the ball to Keenan just behind the blueline before the junior dodged three defenders for a sneaky goal off a turnaround shot to cut the Falcons' deficit, 4-1.
  • Three minutes later, Zayre Bradley (Norwalk, Conn.) connected for Albertus' second goal of the quarter to narrow the gap to two. From the right side of the net, Keenan got the groundball after pressure by the visitors and passed it to Brikes, who then sent it to Coleman followed by the tip-in man-up goal by Bradley at 5:29 for a 4-2 contest.
  • CMSV closed out the quarter with two more goals and continued to pad their lead with four more goals in the second for the 10-2 edge going into the break.
  • Brikes netted his first career goal off the pass from Strecker at 8:33 for a 12-3 score in the third quarter. Brikes cut inside to the cage from the right side after Strecker sent the ball to the first-year from behind the blueline.
  • Mount St. Vincent tallied six more goals across the third and fourth quarters.
  • At 5:46 in the final quarter, Brikes recorded his second goal on the day for the final goal of the game.
