HOW IT HAPPENED
- Cole Heffler opened the game with the lone goal in the first quarter for Cairn.
- Albertus scored four straight goals in the second period beginning with a goal from Brikes. After a successful clear by the Falcons, Brikes launched the ball toward the net from midfield for the equalizer at 11:59.
- Two minutes later, Duryea exited the net for the Falcons, brought the ball to midfield and sent a long pass to a sprinting Tremblay just behind the blueline for the quick strike and the 2-1 lead.
- With 8:19 remaining before halftime, Strecker passed the ball to Keenan as the junior carefully calculated an opening in Cairn's defense for the third goal of the quarter.
- With Brikes parked just right of the net, Strecker parted Highlanders for the side pass to Brikes before the first-year immediately sent it Coleman in front of the crease who snuck the ball just right of the goalkeeper for the player-up goal at 7:46 in the second.
- Cairn narrowed the deficit to within two at 11:16 in the third, but back-to-back goals by Tremblay allowed Albertus to extend the lead to 6-2.
- Another four-goal quarter by the hosts ignited by another Brikes goal sealed the 10-3 victory. Brikes scored his second goal stick-side high 34 seconds into the final quarter. Keenan and Tremblay each recorded another goal, while Bradley closed out the win for his second goal this season off the pass from Strecker.
