
NEW HAVEN, Conn. — DaKari Coleman (Norwalk, Conn.) dominated for the Albertus Magnus College men's lacrosse team with a career-high 10 points as the Falcons overpowered the visiting Mitchell College Mariners, 21-1 to open Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) play on Sunday.
Coleman collected eight goals - which was also a career-high - and tied a career-high with two assists, while Jeremy Tremblay (Orford, Québec) netted seven goals. Sean Keenan (Franklin Square, N.Y.) tallied three goals and a pair of assists and Zayre Bradley (Norwalk, Conn.) secured two goals and two assists. Cooper Strecker (Chester, Conn.) had a career-high nine assists and a goal, Derrick Mejia (Bridgeport, Conn.) assisted on two and Alec Kovalsky (Orange, Conn.) recorded one assist.
Nick Duryea (East Haven, Conn.) has won three-straight in the net for the Falcons as he finished with 11 saves.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Mitchell netted its only goal of the game for the 1-0 lead at 12:59 in the opening period as Nathan Mahoney capitalized on the man-up opportunity.
- Tremblay tallied the equalizer just over two minutes later to ignite the lofty scoring stretch for Albertus.
- Across 20 seconds of action in the first, Coleman took advantage of the shorthanded Mariners for back-to-back man-up goals both off the assist from Strecker.
- The hosts notched four more goals over four minutes of play in the quarter for the 7-1 edge. Tremblay found the back of the net twice, while Keenan and Coleman both netted one apiece. Strecker secured consecutive assists on the last two goals for Albertus with 39 seconds and 23 seconds remaining in the quarter.
- Coleman and Tremblay continued to rack up goals for the the hosts in the second with five total. Coleman opened the quarter with two straight, followed by back-to-back tallies by Tremblay, including a man-up goal at 6:56 off the pass from Coleman.
- The home team boasted another seven-goal quarter in the third for the 19-1 lead. Coleman and Keenan both scored twice, while Tremblay, Bradley and Strecker each collected one. Strecker continued to fuel the offense with four-straight assists in six minutes.
- Bradley and Tremblay extended the Falcons dominant win with two more goals in the final period.

NOTEWORTHY
- Jahsai Martin-Fish (Stamford, Conn.) is first in the GNAC in caused turnovers with 19, after tallying a career-high seven on Sunday. The junior also scooped up a personal-best six groundballs.
- Strecker's previous high in assists was five, which came in a win over Mitchell last season.
- The last time the Falcons collected 20 or more goals over the Mariners was in a 26-1 victory at home on March 14, 2023. Last year, Albertus racked up 20 or more goals just once, in its season opener at Centenary (N.J.) on February, 24, 2024.
- Tremblay has earned a hat trick in back-to-back games and his seventh in his career.
- Kovalsky had his first career assist.
- Lassana Dior Fofana (Bronx, N.Y.) posted a career-high nine groundballs and four caused turnovers.
