
NEW HAVEN, Conn. — The Albertus Magnus College men's lacrosse team fell 17-7 in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) contest against Regis College (Mass.) on Saturday.
Cooper Strecker (Chester, Conn.), Jeremy Tremblay (Orford, Québec) and Anthony Brikes (Staten Island, N.Y.) all netted a pair of goals. DaKari Coleman (Norwalk, Conn.) connected for one goal along with a pair of assists.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Anthony Marsella netted the opening goal at 13:31 for the Pride, but Brikes connected for the equalizer less than a minute later off the assist by Coleman.On the goal, Coleman brought in the ball for an over-the-net pass to Brikes, who quickly sent the dart towards the netting for the Falcons' first goal of the game.
- Marsella secured an unassisted tally to help regain Regis' lead at 11:46 before Coleman delivered another game-tying goal nine seconds later. After Coleman won the faceoff, the junior sped to the scoring zone for the quick score.
- Jack Jaynes scored three straight to close out the first quarter and put the Pride up, 5-2.
- Tremblay narrowed the gap to within two exactly one minute into the second period. The sophomore juked a defender for a long shot just past the restraining line.
- Back-to-back goals by Regis extended the visitors lead by four, but a trio of consecutive tallies by the hosts before the break cut the deficit to within one. With eight minutes remaining in the half, Jay Abella (Staten Island, N.Y.) forced a Regis turnover and scooped up the groundball before sending the ball to Brikes, who dashed through the midfield for a goal from the right side of the net. Tremblay skirted the line in front of the benches before slicing through defenders for the Falcons fifth goal of the night at 4:14 in the second. Eight seconds later, Strecker connected for his first goal of the game after Coleman won the faceoff and grabbed the groundball.
- Regis netted 10 goals through the second half, including six man-up goals.
- Strecker secured the final tally for the home team with 3:08 in regulation and the only man-up goal for Albertus.
