The Albertus Magnus College men's soccer team cruised past visiting Becker College 9-0 behind sophomore forward Alexis Garcia's Hat Trick (West Haven, Conn.) on Monday afternoon.

The Falcons dominated from start to finish out shooting their opponents 29-1 as well as holding a 9-1 advantage in corner kicks.

Garcia found the back of the net in the 15th minute on a through ball from freshman forward Matt Stoll (Shelton, Conn.) to give Albertus the 1-0 lead.  Garcia would score again in the 24th minute, this time on a pass from sophomore Alex Zapata (Hamden, Conn.) for the 2-0 lead.

Freshman midfielder Justyn Broderick (Orange, Conn.) would score the first of his two goals on the day when he finished a scramble in front of the net in the 31st minute.  Freshman forward Fernando Branco (Naugatuck, Conn.) would score in the 36th minute on a nice cross from freshman defender David DeOliveira (Naugatuck, Conn.) to give Albertus the 4-0 lead going into halftime.

The Falcons continued their attack in the second half as junior defender Austin Tomin (Hamden, Conn.) converted a penalty kick in the 59th minute after he was fouled in the box as he attempted a header.

The 63rd minute saw Garcia convert another Zapata pass for his eighth goal of the season while earning his hat trick on the day.  Broderick and Tomin would score again in the 73rd and 77th minute respectively.  The ninth goal of the game came off the foot of freshman defender Alberto Aguillon (Trumbull, Conn.).
