Sophomore forward Alexis Garcia (West Haven, Conn.) scored the game winner just 1:42 into overtime for the hard-fought win.  Garcia's Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) leading 13th goal of the season would come from forward sophmore Alex Zapata (Hamden, Conn.) to secure the hard-fought win.

The Falcons held a considerable shot advantage of 24-8 including the 8-3 edge on corner kicks on the rainy Saturday afternoon.

Rivier goalkeeper Gary Archambault (Auburn, N.H.) made eight saves in the defeat while freshman Albertus keeper Griffin Volta (Orange, Conn.) made just one save to preserve the shutout.

The Falcons improve to 8-2-2, 3-1-1 GNAC while Rivier University drops to 1-8, 1-3 GNAC.

Albertus returns to action on Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. when they travel to Coast Guard Academy for a non-conference matchup.
