The Albertus Magnus men's soccer team fell to Anna Maria College 2-0 on Friday night in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) contest in Paxton, Mass.  It was a stunning loss for the Falcons as they fall to 10-3-2 on the year and 4-2-1 in league play.  Anna Maria improved to 3-11 overall and 2-5 in GNAC action with the Friday evening victory.

Derrick Casey scored the game-winning goal for the AMCats just eight minutes into play as he collected the ball from teammate Gregory Cory in front of the net on a long free kick.  Casey then placed the ball past Albertus keeper Griffin Volta (Orange, Conn.).

In the second half, Jamison Crowley extended the AMCats lead to 2-0 as he scored in the 59th minute of play.

The Falcons outshot the AMCats 22-15 on the night, while Volta made six saves in the loss for the Falcons.  Anna Maria's Eliot Kuzma made 10 saves in the shutout victory.

Tonight's win was also the first for the AMCats against Albertus since joining the league in 2011. Albertus has outscored Anna Maria 15-2 in four seasons.

Albertus will travel to Johnson & Wales (R.I.) on Wednesday for a 3:00 p.m. contest before hosting Suffolk in its final regular season game on Oct. 25.
