The Albertus Magnus men's soccer team fell to Johnson & Wales (R.I.) 1-0 in overtime as the Wildcats' Doug Kase scored just 2:05 into the extra period to clinch the 2014 GNAC Regular-Season title for JWU.
The win improves the Wildcats' record to 11-4-1 and 7-1 in league play, while Albertus falls to 10-5-2 on the year and 4-3-1 in the GNAC.
JWU outshot the Falcons 14-7 in the opening half before Albertus held an 8-6 advantage in the second.
After a scoreless regulation, the Wildcats were able to find the back of the net to secure the 1-0 victory.
Griffin Volta (Orange, Conn.) tallied seven saves for the Falcons, while JWU's Ryan Dzierzawski picked up five saves in the win.
The Falcons will play in their final regular-season game on Saturday when they host Suffolk at 7:30 p.m. under the lights.
