Nashua, N.H. - Behind a goal and an assist from sophomore Abdoul Aremu (West Haven, Conn.), the Albertus Magnus College men's soccer team defeated Rivier University, 3-0, in Great Northeast Athletic Conference play Saturday afternoon at Raider Field.The Falcons close out conference play with a record of 5-2-4 earning a spot in the 2018 GNAC Tournament.

HOW IT HAPPENED
First Half:
- Junior Matt Cotto (Stratford, Conn.) gave the Falcons the early 1-0 edge 10 minutes in after netting his third goal of the season.
- Cotto was able to find the back of the net after finding the loose ball following a save attempt by the Raiders' keeper.
- The Falcons outshot the Raiders in the first, 12-2, including four shot attempts from sophomore Abdoul Aremu (West Haven, Conn).
Second Half:
- Junior Diogo Cruz (Naugatucl, Conn.) and Aremu extended the Falcons' lead to three, 3-0, after scoring back-to-back goals at the 61st and 69th minute, respectively.
- Cruz's goal came about after a converted pass from Aremu.

- Albertus held the advantage in shots, 23-2, as well as in corner kicks, 4-0.
- Ramone Bonfante and Matt Heckler each posted a shot for the Raiders.
- Four Falcons registered two shots on goal.
