WINTHROP, Mass. – Albertus Magnus College men's soccer freshman Arian Bobi (Amity, Conn.) was named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Rookie of the Week after posting two stellar performances in his first two collegiate appearances, as announced by the league office Monday afternoon. 

Bobi paced the Falcons with three points over the team's two victories last week with one goal and one assist. He began his week by scoring the game-winning goal against Elms College on Wednesday, Sept. 15, in the 76th minute. On Saturday, the freshman added to his total with an assist on Abdoul Aremu's (West Haven, Conn.) game-winning score against Colby-Sawyer College.

With the pair of wins last week, the Falcons are now 4-1 overall and 3-0 in the GNAC. Albertus looks to extend its three-match win streak on Wednesday, Sept. 22, when they head to Brooklyn College for a 4:30 p.m. tilt.
