WINTHROP, Mass. – After tallying his first career points against Brooklyn College on Wednesday, Albertus Magnus College men's soccer freshman Luis Agudelo (East Haven, Conn.) was named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Rookie of the Week.

Agudelo's week began with a bang, as he netted his first career point and goal in a 4-1 Falcon win over Brooklyn in road non-conference action. The East Haven native scored in both the 29th and 66th minute, the first goal going down as the game-winner. Agudelo also appeared in the midfield during the Falcons' 1-0 shutout win over Rivier University on Saturday.

After picking up a pair of victories last week, Albertus owns a 6-1 overall record and a perfect 4-0 mark in the conference.

On Wednesday, Sept. 29, the Falcons return to action with a crucial home GNAC showdown against the Blue Jays of the University of Saint Joseph (CT). Game time is set for 7 PM at Celentano Field in New Haven, Conn.
