HOW IT HAPPENED
Chuckie Tenbusch gave the home squad a 1-0 lead after 14:20, burying a header inside his far post after a long pass from Ricky Africo inside the box. The play was set up on a corner kick, as the initial pass from the corner went to Africo up the sideline, where he sent a curving cross into the box.

The rest of the half was scoreless, as neither team cashed in over the final 30-plus minutes of the frame. However, both teams had chances to score before the clock expired, with the Falcons tallying two shots on goal after the game's first score while the Wildcats posted three. Without any more goals, JWU took a 1-0 advantage into the halftime break.

The Wildcats added to their lead in the 64th minute, as JP Rioux scored on a Conner Elliott pass to put the home squad up 2-0.

Just like the first half, the second half featured only one goal. The defenses dominated the second half, as Johnson & Wales tallied two shots on goal and Albertus posted one shot on goal over the final 45 minutes. Denis Blandon (Meriden, Conn.) recorded the Falcons' lone shot on target in the half, forcing a keeper save in the 54th minute.

With both defenses dominating the action, Albertus was unable to orchestrate a comeback, falling 2-0 on the road. With the loss, the Falcons drop to 8-3-1 overall and are third in the league standings with 19 points (6-1-1).
