NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Lorenzo Lauria (New Haven, Conn.) of the Albertus Magnus College men's soccer team was named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Player of the Week for his performance for the week of October 21-27.
During the 2-0 week for the Falcons with GNAC wins over Mitchell and Lasell, Lauria had nine points, including four goals and an assist.
Lauria scored a hat trick in the team's 3-1 win over Lasell on October 26th. He scored two of his goals in the first half, both on assists from Elijah French (Tallahassee, Fla) and scored his third goal with less than a minute remaining to secure the victory.
In the team's 5-0 win over Mitchell on October 23rd, Lauria registered a goal and an assist, both of which came in the first half. Lauria's assist came on a goal from Roger Baldwin (New Haven, Conn.) in the 29th minute, and then followed up with a goal of his own five minutes later.
Lauria is tied for fourth in the GNAC with nine goals and is fourth in points with 20.
The Falcons wrap up their regular season at Dean on Tuesday, October 29th at 3 p.m.
