NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Lorenzo Lauria (New Haven, Conn.) of the Albertus Magnus College men's soccer team was named to the 2024 United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division III Men's All-Region 1 third team.

Lauria, in his first year at Albertus finished tied for fourth in goals with 10 and was sixth in the GNAC with 22 points. 

Lauria was credited with three game-winning goals on the season, including a hat trick against Lasell in a 3-1 win on October 26. Lauria also scored a goal in the team's 2-1 overtime win over Rivier in the GNAC quarterfinals game. 

In a 1-0 regular season win over Rivier on September 14, Lauria scored a dramatic game-winning goal in the 89th minute to lift the Falcons to victory. In the team's first game of the season against Springfield in a 1-1 tie on August 30, Lauria scored a goal just 23 seconds into the season.

It is the second postseason accolade for Lauria this season as he was also named to the All-Great Northeast Athletic Conference First Team.
