New Haven, CT - Albertus Magnus fell to Lesley university in a match that could have been won by either team.  Each team struggled in the cold weather and each point was a battle.  Albertus went down 2-1 in doubles play. The # 2 doubles team of Tim Gabbard ( North Haven, CT) and Gerald O'Connor (Hamden, CT) were victorious. Both played a very good doubles match and they were able to come out with the win. The # 1 doubles team of John Fetzner (East Haven, CT) and Teo D'Elia (Hamden, CT) never hit their stride and  were not able to come back in the match after getting down early. The # 3 doubles team of James Johnson (Hartford, CT) and Frank Distante (East Haven, CT) played very well in a losing effort. They earned each and every point vs. Lesley University on a day where the Falcons were fighting against the outside elements. In singles play, both Teo D'Elia  and Tim Gabbard won  their matches respectively at # 2 and # 3 singles. Both John Fetzner # 1 singles and Frank Distante # 5 singles both lost hard fought matches. The Falcons (1-3, 0-1 GNAC) next match will be coming up this Wednesday against Division II American Internation College set for a 3:30 start at the Celentano courts.
