Falcons Fall to Emerson College 9-0

Boston, MA - Even though the men's tennis team fell 9-0 to Emerson college at the Boston Athletic Club, Head Coach  Brian Palmer saw his team take a step in the right direction. The Falcons men's tennis team is showing a lot of potential despite the 9-0 loss.  John Fetzner played Allesandro Bellino at # 1 singles and fought for every point.  John lost in straight sets but he battled every step of the way.  "John played some of his best tennis all year against one of the top players in the GNAC conference in Allesandro," said Palmer.  John deserved every point that he got and even took a couple of games off of Allesandro.  Teo D'Elia who played # 3 singles and teamed up with John Fetzner at # 1 doubles playing very well in both matches. His strokes were clean all day with only a few unforced errors.  "Teo is turning into a complete player and that showed in both his singles and doubles match," stated Palmer.  The # 3 doubles team of Jerry Milewski and James Johnson fought very hard against Emerson and they were able to win a couple of games against Emerson helping them gain confidence and experience on the court.  The Falcons (1-2, 0-1 GNAC) host Lesley College on Sunday at 1:00 pm on Celentano Courts.
