The Albertus Magnus men's tennis team fell to Johnson & Wales 9-0 on Saturday in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) match in New Haven.

Riker Mitchell (Naugatuck, Conn.) battled in No. 4 singles but fell to Jake McGuire 6-4, 6-0. Tim Gabbard (North Haven, Conn.) dropped a 6-3, 6-0 decision to Mariusz Wala in No. 2 singles, while Marcus Artaiz (Hamden, Conn.) fell in No. 1 singles by a score of 6-1, 6-0.

Johnson & Wales took the rest of the matches with pairs of 6-0 sets.

Artaiz and Gabbard fell just short in No. 1 doubles as they lost 8-6 to JWU's James Adriano and Mariusz Wala. Riker and Richard Mitchell (Naugatuck, Conn.) dropped an 8-1 decision in No. 2 singles as JWU's Ian Huxel and Jacob Wanner took the victory.
