Riker Mitchell (Naugatuck, Conn.) of the Albertus Magnus men's tennis team was named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Rookie of the Week this past week for his efforts during last week's competition.

Riker won No. 3 singles for the Falcons against Suffolk in GNAC play. He took a 7-6 win over Dan Kelly before Kelly had to retire from the match.

Against Lesley, Riker was up 3-1 in his match but an injury forced the freshman to retire. He and his brother, Richard Mitchell, defeated Lesley's Mike Kaufman and Jimmy Paulsen in No. 2 doubles by an 8-3 final as well.
