
The Albertus Magnus men's tennis team fell to Johnson & Wales (R.I.) 9-0 in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) play on Saturday afternoon.
JWU used the win to improve to 4-2 on the year and 4-0 in GNAC play. Albertus falls to 2-5 overall and 0-3 in league action.
The Wildcats swept the doubles' matches led by an 8-5 victory in the No. 1 position by James Adriano and Mars Wala over Marcus Artaiz (Hamden, Conn.) and Pete Zacharias (North Haven, Conn.). Adriano also posted a 6-1, 6-0 win in the No. 1 singles spot over Zacharias as well.
Albertus returns to action on Sunday, April 7 with an 11:00 a.m. match at Sarah Lawrence.
