
The Albertus Magnus men's tennis team fell to Newbury 7-2 on Sunday afternoon in non-conference action. The loss moves the Falcons' overall record to 6-5 on the year.
Albertus picked up two victories as Dan Constantinidi earned a 7-5 and 6-1 victory in the fourth position. Constantinidi and teammate Mathew Mezzei edged Newbury's Steve Carey and Gerard Font-Raventos 9-7 in doubles' play.
Newbury took the other seven matches led by a dominating No. 2 singles' win by Christian Repunte as he won with a pair of 6-1 sets. Pete Zacaharias dropped a close No. 1 singles' match as he fell to Antonios Tran 6-4, 7-5.
Newbury won the final two doubles' matches with an 8-2 No. 1 position win and an 8-4 No. 3 position victory.
