New Haven, Conn. – The Albertus Magnus College men's tennis team remained undefeated at home with a 9-0 victory against York College in non-conference action on Sunday afternoon at the Celentano Courts.

With the triumph, the Falcons bounce back from a pair of Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) setbacks yesterday to improve to 6-3 on the spring, while the Cardinals dropped their seventh in a row to fall to 0-7.

Albertus Magnus got off to a quick start, taking all three doubles matches in convincing fashion. The Falcons took the matches at No. 2 and No. 3, 8-0. At No. 2, the tandem of senior Cerrone Bell (New Haven, Conn.) and junior Daniel Constantinidi (North Branford, Conn.) cruised to a shutout victory as did freshman Steven Woodfield and his partner, senior Ahmed Abdulateef (Hamden, Conn.), at No. 3.

The Falcons took all six singles matches in straight sets for their third straight home triumph.

Albertus Magnus returns to action on Saturday, April 23, with a home conference match versus Rutgers-Newark that is slated to begin at 1:00 pm. Last spring, the Scarlet Raiders topped the Falcons, 6-3, in the Garden State.
