NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Albertus Magnus College men's tennis team lost a close 5-4 match to the University of Massachusetts-Boston on Sunday afternoon at Celentano Courts.
Zane Kindrachuk (Calgary, Alberta) and Tim Manning (Concord, Ohio) dominated in doubles no. 3, 8-0 to take one of the three matches.
In singles, Eric Chamandy (Montreal, Quebec) won a close three-set match, 6-4, 3-6, 6-2 over David Flores in no. 3. Spencer Silver (North Wales, Pa.) won in dominating fashion in singles no. 5 over Felix Nguyen, 6-1, 6-0. Caden Pattison (Lake Stevens, Wash.) won via retirement in singles no. 6.
Albertus will play its final home game on Wednesday against Wentworth at 3:30 p.m.
