JAMAICA, N.Y. — The Albertus Magnus College men's tennis team recorded its first match victory under first-year head coach Adam Raffone since October 2022 on the road at John Jay College to close out the Spring Season on Friday.

In doubles action, No. 1 John Jay duo outlasted Albertus but the Falcons retaliated with a pair of partner wins at No. 3 and No. 2, respectively. After being down 1-0, Tim Manning (Concord, Ohio) and Zane Kindrachuk (Calgary, Alberta) knotted the match at number three doubles, 8-1, followed by a close victory by Eric Chamandy (Montreal, Québec) and Caden Pattison (Lake Stevens, Wash.) at No. 2.

Similarly, the hosts tallied the first point in solo play, but Gustav Müller (Hudiksvall, Sweden) padded the lead at No. 6, 6-1, 6-0, while Pattison remained undefeated with a No. 5 Singles win, 6-0, 6-2, to put Albertus up, 4-2. Chamandy also notched his second victory at No. 3 Singles, 6-0, 6-3 followed by wins by Rockenson Charles (New London, Conn.), 6-1, 3-2, and Jarrell Petteway (Windsor, Conn. ) 6-4, 6-1, at No. 2 and 4, respectively.
