The Albertus Magnus men's volleyball team honored its two seniors, Glenn Johnson (Newington, Conn.) and Daniel Valmont (Orange, N.J.) prior to tonight's Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) match featuring the Falcons and the Lasell College Lasers. Lasell won the match by a score of 3-0 (25-,15, 25-13, 25-21).

Johnson led Albertus (3-10, 2-7 GNAC) with 14 kills in 33 attempts, while he added one dig and one block.

The Lasers, who improved to an impressive 19-7 on the year and 7-3 in league play, were led by Dan Raffol and Drew Caruso, both with eight kills. Andrew Glenn dished out 28 assists for the Lasers, while Matthew Dugan added 16.  Phu Do led all players with eight digs on the night.

Albertus' Justin Tharau (Burlington, Conn.) handed out 14 assists for Albertus to go along with one dig.

Albertus registered positive hitting performances in tonight's sets but the Lasell defensive was solid all night long. Lasell's offensive was also on top of its game as the Lasers hit .469 on the night, while registering a 20-kill second set outing with just two hitting errors in 24 tries.

After Lasell won the first two sets, Albertus bounced back and battled with the Lasers until the very end. There were six tied scores in the final set as well as one lead change early on in the frame.  Lasell would come out on top as Ryan Jackson added seven kills, one block and two assists for the Lasers.
