Men's Cross Country Competes at Westfield State

The Albertus Magnus men's cross country team took 30th place at the 16th Annual James Earley Invitational on Saturday afternoon in Westfield, Mass. The meet was hosted by the Westfield State Owls.

The Falcons finished right behind Great Northeast Athletic Conference opponent Anna Maria and edged Eastern Nazarene College by over 100 points.

John Snow led the Falcons on the afternoon, finishing the 8k run with a time of 30:19.09 for 154th place.

DJ Griffin finished the race with a mark of 35:22.97, while Spencer Smith followed at 35:25.37. Reggie Finney also ran for the Falcons, finishing the 8k in 35:26.99. He was followed by Matt Maya and Kevin Rogers as Maya's time was 35:45.07. Rogers finished with a time of 37:45.25, rounding out the Albertus' runners.

The United States Coast Guard Academy took first place on the afternoon with 67 points but did not get the top finisher as Salem State's Alex Gomes took the top prize, finishing the 8k with a winning time of 23:43.90.
