Boston, MA - On Tuesday night, The Lady Falcons defeated GNAC opponent Simmons College 57-52 to earn their second straight conference win.  The Lady Falcons took a 37-20 lead into halftime and handled a late second half push from Simmons to emerge victorious.  The Lady Falcons never trailed in the contest leading by as much as 17.  Albertus led 49-40 with 6:12 to go when Simmons went on a 6-0 run to cut the Falcons lead to 51-48.  The Lady Falcons hit their free throws down the stretch securing the 57-52 win.  Junior center Kendrae Walker (New Haven, CT) led the way for Albertus with a team high 14 points and game high nine rebounds.  Freshman guard Shanilya Bush (New Haven, CT) added 12 points, six rebounds, and five steals.  Simmons was led by Senior guard Julianna Eagles (Quincy, MA) and her game high 19 points.  Albertus improves to 10-12, 6-3 GNAC while Simmons drops to 13-8, 5-4 GNAC.  The Lady Falcons host Rivier College as part of a Saturday Falcons basketball double header with the Lady Falcons starting at 1:00 pm and the Men's team tipping-off at 3:00 pm.
