Holoyoke, MA -  The Albertus Magnus College Women's Basketball team cruised to a 72-31 victory over host Bay Path College on Wednesday night.  The Falcons had four players in double figures including freshman guard Lianna Carrero (Hamden, CT/Hamden) who led all scorers with a game-high 14 points and team-high six rebounds.
 
Also scoring in double figures for the Falcons were freshman guard Lindsey Karle (Wallingford, CT/Lyman Hall) and sophomore point guard Shanilya Bush (New Haven, CT/Wilbur Cross) combining for 21 points. Freshman guard Nicole Acerra (East Haven, CT/East Haven) with 11 points. Head Coach Ed Panzo cleared his bench with all ten players scoring as well as pulling down at least two boards.
 
 
Albertus Magnus took advantage of their quickness scoring 16 of their points off of fast break attempts and outrebounding their opponents 48-38 on the night.
 
Bay Path College was led by sophomore guard Brittany Alexander (Enfield, CT) and her team-high 12 points.

Albertus improves to 1-1, 0-0 GNAC while Baypath drops to 0-1 on the season.  Albertus travels to Wheelock College on Saturday afternoon with a 1:00 pm tip off.
