Chestnut Hill, MA - Senior forward Bianca Brown (West Haven, CT/Career) totaled a game-high 20 points and five steals to go along with a team-high 12 rebounds and three blocks as the Falcons defeated host Wheelock College 66-53 on Saturday afternoon. Albertus used a 13-3 run in the second half to pull away for the victory. The Falcons would not relinquish the lead for the final 11:06 in the second half.
Albertus received a balanced scoring attack with five players scoring in double figures. Freshman guard Lianna Carrero (Hamden, CT/Hamden) had 13 points and five assists, while classmate Annie Raucci (Milford, CT/Foran) shot 4-for-5 off the bench for 11 points. Sophomore guard Shanilya Bush (New Haven, CT/Wilbur Cross) and freshman guard Lindsay Karle (Wallingford, CT/Lyman Hall) chipped in 10 points a piece.
Wheelock College was led by senior guard Joy Holliday (Milford, MA/Milford) and sophomore forward Keneisha Milton (Boston, MA/Wayland) who each recorded double doubles.
