New Haven, CT - The Albertus Magnus College Women's Basketball team dropped the final game of the season 85-53 to visiting Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) opponent Suffolk University on Saturday afternoon. The Falcons were celebrating Think Pink Day in support of WBCA Pink Zone.
The young Falcons fought hard but were unable to compete with the second place Suffolk team who had a 41-18 lead going into halftime and never trailed in the contest.
Albertus was led by freshman guards Lindsay Karle (Wallingford, CT/Lyman Hall) and Lianna Carrero (Hamden, CT/Hamden) as they each chipped in 16 points on the day.
Suffolk was led by freshman forward Jennifer Ruys (Wallingford, CT/Lyman Hall) and her game high 21 points.
Albertus finishes the season at 8-15, 2-10 GNAC while Suffolk ends the regular season at 16-9, 10-2 GNAC.
