The Albertus Magnus women's basketball team dropped a 71-56 decision at Framingham State on Monday night in a non-conference match-up.  Three Falcons scored in double-figures in the loss.

Lianna Carrero (Hamden, Conn.), who entered the game with 1,547 career points, tallied 20 points to surpass Liz Lacroix '95 to move into second place on the Falcons' all-time scoring list.  With 1,567 points, she is nine points away from the all-time record of 1,576 points held by Natalia Perlaza '05.

Albertus (3-9) was plagued by turnovers early in tonight's contest as Framingham State (6-5) jumped out to a 12-3 lead before an Albertus timeout.  Out of the timeout, senior Annie Raucci (Milford, Conn.) hit back-to-back buckets to cut the Rams' lead to five at 12-7.

With 6:47 left in the opening frame, the Rams led 27-15 before a 7-0 run by the Falcons thanks to a three-point field goal by Annie Sutila (Bridgeport, Conn.).  The Falcons then battled back to get to within two but the Rams pushed their lead back up and went into the halftime break with a 37-29 advantage.

The Rams opened the second half with a 7-3 run to take a 44-32 lead.

The Rams extended their lead to as much as 18 points in the second half when Kristen Hoffman connected on a three pointer at the 10:14 mark of the frame.

The Falcons struggled from the floor, shooting just 31% in the entire game, and hit just 8-of-28 in the second half.  The Rams also out-rebounded the Falcons 45-38.

Raucci added 11 points and nine rebounds in 39 minutes of work. She shot 4-of-9 from the field as well.  Sutila has 12 points on 4-of-9 shooting from behind the arc.  Aaliyah Bohannon (Bridgeport, Conn.) tallied six points and six rebounds in 11 minutes of play.

Framingham was led by 19 points and 11 rebounds from Alycia Rackliffe.

Albertus travels to Farmingdale State on Wednesday night for a 6:00 p.m. contest.
