Senior guard Lianna Carrero (Hamden, Conn.) of the Albertus Magnus women's basketball team was named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Player of the Week as announced by the league office on Monday.

Carrero tallied 33 points in a three-point loss to Lasell College on Saturday.  She registered 20 or more points in back-to-back games for the Falcons after scoring 24 points in a loss to Rivier.

On the year, she has posted seven games with 30 or more points and has scored 20 or more points in the Falcons' last four contests.  She led Albertus with 28.5 points on the week and had 2.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game as well.

Albertus will host Johnson & Wales (R.I.) on Thursday, Jan. 30 in a 7:00 p.m. league contest.
