Senior Lianna Carrero (Hamden, Conn.) of the Albertus Magnus College women's basketball team has been named the month of February Female Student-Athlete of the Month.

The February honor is her third monthly honor and her second-straight of the academic year as she was tagged as the Female Student-Athlete of the Month of November and January.

She was named to the Capital One Academic All-America Division III Second Team as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of American (CoSIDA). This is the second-straight year in which she earned the distinguished honor.

Carrero was also named the GNAC Player of the Year as she led the league and was second in the nation in points per game.

Carrero, a Dean's List member and an Academic All-American, is majoring in criminal justice at Albertus Magnus College.
