Carrero Named an ECAC New England All-Star

Senior Lianna Carrero (Hamden, Conn.) of the Albertus Magnus women's basketball team has been named 2014 ECAC Division III New England All-Star Second Team as announced this week by the ECAC.

Carrero, a two-time Capital One Academic All-America Division III Second Team selection, was also named to the D3hoops.com 2014 All-Northeast Regional Third Team.

Carrero was named the 2014 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Player of the Year, and was second in the nation (Division III) in points per game with a 25.2 average.  She is the only Academic All-American in Albertus Magnus College history.

She led the conference with 25.2 points per game and a 41.1 three-point shooting percentage and was named to the GNAC All-Conference First Team for the second-straight year.
