The Albertus Magnus women's basketball team fell to Connecticut College 73-47 on Monday night in New London, Conn.

Conn College was led by Liz Malman with 30 points as she shot an impressive 11-for-16 from the field and converted 5-of-6 shots from beyond the arc.

Conn College improved its record to 4-1 while the Falcons slipped to 2-4 with the setback.

Mairead Hynes posted a double-double for the Camels with 14 points and a game-high 16 rebounds, while Shaniqua Shaw chipped in with 13 points.

Albertus junior Kelsey Pendagast (Shelton, Conn.) scored 12 points to lead the Falcons, while Olivia Bolden (South Windsor, Conn.) finished with nine points. Chelsea Sherrod (Bridgeport, Conn.) added eight points and seven rebounds.

The Camels went on a 15-3 run early in the contest, while Malman scored 11 of those points. Shaw closed out the half with a bucket as the Camels led 47-21 at the break.

Albertus shot just over 35% in the second half as play remained even throughout the frame but the Falcons could not cut into the large lead that the Camels had already set.

Conn College finished with a 44-to-32 advantage on the boards.

Albertus will host Mt. Holyoke on Wednesday in a 7:00 p.m. contest in New Haven.
