Winthrop, Mass. – After leading the Albertus Magnus College women's basketball team to an 89-77 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) win last week, Falcon sophomore Olivia Bolden (South Windsor, Conn.) was named the GNAC Player of the Week on Monday as announced by the league office.
Bolden had a career day against the Raiders, pouring in 31 points and grabbing 13 rebounds to earn the weekly accolade for the second time this season.
The 5-10 forward was a force in the paint all day and got to the free-throw line 16 times, making 11 of them. The double-double was Bolden's third in a row and sixth of the winter. On the defensive end, she also added two steals.
Albertus Magnus returns to action on Tuesday, January 26, with a home non-conference clash against Mount St. Vincent at 7:00 pm at The Nest. The Falcons are looking to avenge a 75-70 setback on the road versus the Dolphins last winter.
