Boston, Mass. – The Albertus Magnus College women's basketball team fell on the road to Suffolk, 104-99, in overtime on Saturday afternoon in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action at Regan Gymnasium.

The Falcons dropped their second straight GNAC contest to move to 14-9 overall and 6-4 in league play, while the host Rams won their third in a row to improve to 14-9 on the year and 6-3 in league tilts.

Albertus Magnus erased an 11-point deficit with 58 points in the second half to force overtime. During the extra frame, the hosts outscored AMC, 10-5. Leading by one point with 90 seconds left in the game, Suffolk took a four-point lead at 101-97 courtesy of a trey from Georgia Bourikas. On the ensuing possesion, a pair of free throws from junior guard Liz Falcigno (Wallingford, Conn.) brought the Falcons within two at 101-99.

After Suffolk hit one of two from the free-throw line, AMC called a timeout to draw up a play trailing by three with 34 seconds left in the contest. Albertus Magnus missed a shot and Ram forward Alessandra Quadri grabbed the rebound and hit both free throws after being fouled to give Suffolk a 104-99 edge. On the final possesion of the contest, AMC was unable to score and the Rams escaped victorious.

AMC sophomore forward Olivia Bolden (South Windsor, Conn.) led the Falcon attack with a game-high 32 points and 16 rebounds. She knocked down 12 shots from the charity stripe and nine from the field to go along with one assist and one steal. Bolden's double-doubloe was her 10th of the season and second straight. Falcigno poured in 24 points for the guests, courtesy of hitting four shots from beyond the arc and all eight of her free-throw attempts. Freshman guard Deja Ward (Middletown, Con.) scored a career-high 22 points on 7-of-14 shooting for Albertus Magnus. The speedy guard also canned 7-of-9 from the charity stripe.

The guests shot just under 38 percent from the field and outrebounded the hosts, 51-42. Suffolk hit 48 percent of its shot from the field. Both team were hot from three-point range, combining to hit 19-of-41 from deep.

Albertus Magnus returns to action on Monday, February 15, with a home non-conference clash versus in-state foe Coast Guard at 1:00 pm.
