Women's Basketball Weekly Preview: Emmanuel

Last Week: The Albertus Magnus College women's basketball team went 0-2 last week in GNAC play, falling on the road to both Norwich and Suffolk. Albertus Magnus enters the final week of the regular season in fifth-place in the conference standings with a 14-9 overall record and a 6-4 mark in league action. AMC opened the week with a five-point setback in Vermont. Trailing by one to Norwich with less than 90 seconds remaining in the game, the guests turned it over on three of their final four possessions. Over the weekend, the Falcons fell, 104-99, in overtime on the road versus the Rams. Down the stretch, Albertus Magnus called a timeout to draw up a play trailing by three with 34 seconds left in the contest. The Falcons missed a shot and Ram forward Alessandra Quadri grabbed the rebound and hit both free throws after being fouled to give Suffolk a 104-99 edge. On the final possession of the contest the guests were unable to score.

Earlier This Week: The Falcons fell to visiting Coast Guard, 69-60, on Monday afternoon in non-conference action. The Bears never trailed in the contest en route to their sixth consecutive win against AMC. The biggest differences in the contest were three-point shooting and foul shooting.
