Winthrop, Mass. – Senior forward Rah-Rah Thompson (Bridgeport, Conn) of the Albertus Magnus College women's basketball team was named this week's Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Player of the Week, as announced by the league on Monday afternoon.

Thompson recorded a breakout game in the Falcons' 99-90 win over defending MASCAC champion Westfield State last Wednesday evening. The power forward posted her fourth double-double of the season behind a career-high 28 points and 31 rebounds over 39 minutes of action. Thompson shot an impressive 66.7% (10-15 FG, 8-13 FT) from the field to go along with two assists, a steal and a career-best six blocks. 

The Lady Falcons return to the court on Tuesday, Dec. 10 with a home non-conference tilt against Old Westbury. Game time is set for 7PM in New Haven, Conn.
