Winthrop, Mass. – Senior Rah-Rah Thompson (Bridgeport, Conn.) of the Albertus Magnus College women's basketball team was named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Player of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.

Thompson averaged an impressive 21.5 points, 15.0 rebounds and 4.0 blocks per game in a 1-1 week for the Falcons, as the senior forward shot 68.0% (17-25) overall and was 7-of-12 from the FT line. In a 78-69 loss to Gordon, Thompson netted a team-high 20 points with 14 rebounds and two blocks. The senior capped the week collecting her eighth double-double of the season behind 23 points, 16 rebounds, two assists, four steals and six blocks in an 81-54 win over Salem State.  

The women's basketball team returns to the hardwood on Tuesday, January 7 with a road game against nationally ranked No. 6 Amherst College. Tip-off is set for 5PM.
