Winthrop, Mass. - Senior guard Shyla Osmond (New Haven, Conn.) of the Albertus Magnus College women's basketball team has been selected as this week's Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Player of the Week, as announced by the league office Monday afternoon.

Osmond powered the Falcons to a 1-1 week, helping the team pick up a league win over Colby-Sawyer at home to improve to 11-5 on the year. The senior guard averaged 28.5 points (24-48 FG, 1-5 3PT, 8-13 FT), 5.0 rebounds and 4.5 assists in 39.5 minutes per game. She opened the week by scoring 25 points to go along with two rebounds, four assists and a steal in a 65-59 loss on the road at Suffolk before registering 32 points, eight rebounds, five assists and two steala in a 79-72 home win over the Chargers.

The women's basketball team continues GNAC play with a road showdown against Lasell University on Tuesday, January 21 at 7:00PM.
