Osmond Earns Fifth GNAC Player of Week Honor

Winthrop, Mass. - For the fifth time this season, senior guard Shyla Osmond (New Haven, Conn.) of the Albertus Magnus College women's basketball team has been named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Player of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.

Osmond averaged 33.0 points, 10.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 3.5 steals in a 2-0 week for Albertus, while shooting 49.1% (27-55) from the field, 55.6% (5-9) from behind the arc and 58.3% (7-12) from the free-throw line. She poured in a career-high 48 points with 10 rebounds, two assists and four steals in a 80-63 road win against JWU. She followed up by scoring 18 points, 10 rebounds, eight assists, three steals and a block in a 69-50 win over Anna Maria.

The Falcons earn the fifth-seed in the upcoming 2020 GNAC Women's Basketball Tournament and will face fourth-seeded Suffolk University on Tuesday, February 25 in Boston, Mass. Tip-off is set for 7PM.
