NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- With the year 2021 quickly approaching, NoontimeSports.com recognized its Connecticut Division III Basketball All-Decade Team (2011-20). Highlighting the list are Albertus Magnus College women's basketball standouts Lianna Carrero '14 (Hamden, Conn.) and Shyla Osmond '19 (New Haven, Conn.).

Representing the Falcons on the All-Decade Second Team is Carrero, Albertus' first-ever Academic All-American, in 2012-13 and 2013-14. She was also tabbed the 2013-14 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Player of the Year and was a three-time GNAC All-Conference selection. The Hamden, Conn. native's other honors include being named to the 2014 D3hoops.com All-Northeast Third Team and the 2014 ECAC Division III New England All-Star Second Team.

On the court, Carrero ranks second in program history with 1,905 career points, trailing only all-time Falcons great Olivia Bolden (South Windsor, Conn.) (2,017). She also accumulated 436 rebounds and 288 assists in her illustrious career. The 5-foot-5-inch guard led the Falcons to a pair of GNAC Tournament appearances (2011-12, 2012-13) and a berth in the 2012-13 ECAC Tournament.

Osmond secured Third Team honors on the NoontimeSports.com All-Decade list after an outstanding two-year career with the Falcons. The 5-foot-5-inch guard collected numerous accolades over her two campaigns, including a pair of First Team All-GNAC nods and D3Hoops.com All-Northeast Region accolades as a senior.

Osmond finished her career with 1,069 points, the 12th most in program history. She also accumulated a whopping 347 rebounds, 264 assists, and 160 steals in just 48 career games. As a senior, the New Haven native set a new program record with 7.0 assists per game, while tallying its second-best points-per-game average with 23.8. Osmond also recorded three triple-doubles in the 2019-20 campaign, to go along with a career-high 48-point showing against Johnson & Wales University on February 18.
