WINTHROP, Mass. - For the fourth straight week in a row, sophomore Jakara Murray-Leach (Norwalk, Conn.) of the Albertus Magnus College women's basketball team was named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Player of the Week, as announced Monday afternoon.

Murray-Leach put together two stellar performances last week in a pair of Albertus wins, as she averaged a team-high 22.5 points to go along with 7.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 2.0 blocks, and 1.5 steals per game. The sophomore guard shot 17-for-36 (47.2%) from the field and 7-for-9 (77.8%) from the FT line. Murray-Leach began her week on Tuesday with 13 points, three rebounds, and two steals over 19 minutes in the Falcons' dominant 74-36 victory over Fisher. She followed that performance up with a double-double on a season-high 32 points and 11 rebounds to guide AMC to a signature 89-72 win over GNAC powerhouse Emmanuel on Saturday in the two teams' GNAC opener.

The Falcons continue GNAC play on Wednesday, Dec. 7, with a road tilt against the Bulldogs of Dean College. Tip-off is set for 7:30 PM inside the Pieri Gymnasium in Franklin, Mass.
